Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

The only prayer that is necessary to say each day during the 33 days is at least one Rosary and then read the Act of Consecration given on this page shown below on the 33 day.

The vision given to Theresa Fleischman on May 26, 1988 in the chapel of St. John Neumann was Our Lady holding the baby Jesus and both had wounds on their Hearts and on their faces.

"Venerate the Blessed Virgin's Heart and My most holy Son's Jesus Heart together. For the Lord has given unto the Queen of Heaven the effect of peace to the world. Pray for peace in this world. Yea, the Lord your God rules the earth and all that is in it; yet the prayers of veneration give great joy unto My Being and stirs Me to direct by it." (Message given to Theresa Fleischman on August 1, 1988)

Act of Consecration by St. Louis de Montfort

This Consecration prayer was added to my website on April 28, 2021 the feast day of St. Louis de Montfort. St. Louis de Montfort was born on January 31, 1673 and died on April 28, 1716.

Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom, most lovable and adorable Jesus, true God and true man, only Son of the eternal Father and of Mary always virgin, I adore you profoundly, dwelling in the splendor of your Father from all eternity and in the virginal womb of Mary, your most worthy Mother, at the time of your Incarnation.

I thank you for having emptied yourself in assuming the condition of a slave to set me free from the cruel slavery of the evil one.

I praise and glorify you for having willingly chosen to obey Mary, your holy Mother in all things, so that through her I may be your faithful slave of love.

But I must confess that I have not kept the vows and promises which I made to you so solemnly at my baptism. I have not fulfilled my obligations, and I do not deserve to be called your child or even your loving slave.

Since I cannot lay claim to anything except what merits your rejection and displeasure, I dare no longer approach the holiness of your majesty on my own. That is why I turn to the intercession and the mercy of your holy Mother, whom you yourself have given me to mediate with you. Through her I hope to obtain from you contrition and pardon for my sins, and that Wisdom whom I desire to dwell in me always.

I turn to you, then, Mary Immaculate, living tabernacle of God. The eternal Wisdom, hidden in you, willed to receive the adoration of both men and angels.

I greet you as Queen of heaven and earth. All that is under God has been made subject to your sovereignty.

I call upon you as the unfailing refuge of sinners. In your mercy you have never forsaken anyone.

Grant my desire for divine Wisdom and, in support of my petition, accept the promises and the offering of myself which I now make, conscious of my unworthiness.

I, an unfaithful sinner, renew and ratify today through you my baptismal promises. I renounce for ever Satan, his empty promises and his evil designs, and I give myself completely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after him for the rest of my life, and to be more faithful to him than I have been till now.

This day, with the whole court of heaven as witness, I choose you, Mary, as my Mother and Queen. I surrender and consecrate myself to you, body and soul, with all that I possess, both spiritual and material, even including the spiritual value of all my actions, past, present, and to come. I give you the full right to dispose of me and all that belongs to me, without any reservations, in whatever way you please, for the greater glory of God in time and throughout eternity.

Accept, gracious Virgin, this little offering of my slavery to honour and imitate that obedience which the eternal Wisdom willingly chose to have towards you, his Mother. I wish to acknowledge the authority which both of you have over this little worm and pitiful sinner. By it I wish also to thank God for the privileges bestowed on you by the Blessed Trinity. I solemnly declare that for the future I will try to honour and obey you in all things as your true slave of love.

O admirable Mother, present me to your dear Son as his slave now and for always, so that he who redeemed me through you, will now receive me through you.

Mother of mercy, grant me the favour of obtaining the true Wisdom of God, and so make me one of those whom you love, teach and guide, whom you nourish and protect as your children and slaves.

Virgin most faithful, make me in everything so committed a disciple, imitator, and slave of Jesus, your Son, the Incarnate Wisdom, that I may become, through your intercession and example, fully mature with the fulness which Jesus possessed on earth, and with the fulness of his glory in heaven. Amen.

Consecration to Jesus and Mary (short version)

The consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary have both been practiced since the beginning of the Catholic Church, but most recently have been urgently requested by our Lord and Lady through several visionaries.

This devotion was mentioned time and time again to Theresa Fleischman (former Werner), the visionary at St. John Neumann in 1988.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus became widely known only since the seventeenth century and was not sanctioned by the Church for general use until the latter part of the eighteenth. The vision given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque played an important role in establishing this devotion. Our Blessed Lord appeared to her on several occasions and in one of these visions, showed her His Sacred Heart pierced with a wound, encircled with a crown of thorns, surrounded by flames and surmounted by a cross. He commanded her to practice and to teach the devotion to His Sacred Heart to others, promising graces to all who love and adore it. (footnote 1)

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary has its origin through the writings of many saints throughout the ages. A book titled, “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”, written by Saint Louis de Montfort in the late seventeenth century, gives a clear understanding and necessity for this devotion. The author explains that in order to attain salvation, it is first mandatory to consecrate oneself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Jesus said in scripture “Those who believe in me shall never die.” So for those who do not know about this devotion to the Virgin Mary, they will learn about this devotion in Purgatory. “The pious and learned Jesuit, Suarez, Justus Lipsuis, a devout and erudite theologian of Louvain, and many others have proved incontestably that devotion to our Blessed Lady is necessary to attain salvation. This they show from the teaching of the Fathers, notably St. Augustine, St. Ephrem, deacon of Edessa, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, St. Germanus of Constantinople, St. John Damascene, St. Anselm, St. Bernard, St. Bernardine, St. Thomas and St. Bonaventure.” (footnote 2)

Saint Louis de Montfort explains that in order to attain a perfect consecration to Jesus, it is necessary to practice the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary . “That is why perfect consecration to Jesus is but a perfect and complete consecration of oneself to the Blessed Virgin, which is the devotion I teach; or in other words, it is the perfect renewal of the vows and promises of holy baptism.” (footnote 3)

In 1925, Fatima, Portugal, Jesus and Mary appeared to Sister Lucia, one of the visionaries of Fatima, and requested that the world make reparation for the sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A quote taken form the book “Mother of Christ Crusade” describes the vision.

Our Lady again appeared to Lucia on December 10, 1925, while she was in her room at the convent. The Child Jesus was at Our Lady’s side, elevated upon a cloud of light. Our Lady, resting one hand upon Lucia’s shoulder, held in her other hand a heart surrounded with sharp thorns. The Child Jesus spoke first to Lucia:

"Have pity on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with the thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation."

Then Our Lady said to Lucia:

"My daughter, look at my Heart encircled with the thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Do you at least try to console me and announce in my name that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary and Keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary with the intention of making reparation to me." (footnote 4)

This message clearly manifests the great love between Jesus and Mary and affirms that the children of God must establish a great love and devotion to both the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary either while living on earth or while suffering in purgatory.

Father Don Stefano Gobbi, an Italian priest, began receiving messages from the Mother of God on July 7, 1973. A quote taken from the book titled “To the Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”, again expresses the importance of the consecration to Mary.

Give me all the difficulties which you encounter, all the sufferings and the abandonment which you experience. Even Jesus willed to offer to the Father all his sufferings through and with me. And it was thus that, offering my Son freely to the Father, I became true Co-redemptrix. (footnote 5)

The Lord has reclothed me with his light and the Holy Spirit with his divine power, and thus I appear as a great sign in heaven, a Woman Clothed with the Sun, because I have the task of taking humanity away from the dominion of the huge Red Dragon and of bringing it all back to the perfect glorification of the Most Holy Trinity.

For this I have formed for myself the army of my littlest children, in every part of the world, and I am asking of them that they consecrate themselves to my Immaculate Heart. Thus I am leading them to live only for the glory of God, by means of faith and charity, and I myself am jealously cultivating them in my heavenly garden.

Then each day I present myself before the throne of my Lord in an act of profound adoration; I open the golden door of my Immaculate Heart; and I offer in my arms all these little children of mine, as I say: ‘Most Holy and Divine Trinity, at the moment when You are being universally denied, I present to You the homage of my motherly reparation, by means of all these little ones of mine whom I am forming each day to your greater glorification.

Thus again today, from the mouths of infants and sucklings, the Lord receives his perfect praise.” 5 (MP May 14, 1989)

What does it mean to consecrate oneself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary? As explained by Saint Louis de Montfort, there are both internal and external practices that must be followed.

Some internal practices are; to offer all of ones happiness, sufferings, prayers, thoughts and acts, each day, to Mary the Mother of God. She will then perfect these sacrifices and present them to Her Son Jesus. As a habit, a person should immediately offer their sufferings or happiness to Mary at the very moment that they occur. In this way, one carries on a constant dialog of love with Jesus and Mary throughout the entire day.

Some external practices are; wearing the Brown Scapular, praying the Rosary each day, reading Sacred Scripture, fasting on bread and water on Wednesday or Fridays, receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least every month and attending Mass and receiving Holy Communion every Sunday.

At Fatima, an Angel appeared to the three children and instructed them to offer their sufferings for the following intentions; Jesus for love of thee, for the conversion of sinners and for the reparation of sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Therefore, we believe a wonderful practice, at the start of each new day, is to say the following words,

“Mary my Mother, I offer every thought word and act to you; Jesus for love of thee, for the conversion of sinners and for the reparation of sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

It is a known fact that Jesus and Mary both suffer much every time a person sins. Since sins are being committed, Jesus’ and Mary’s Hearts are constantly being pierced with thorns. When a person offers their sufferings, prayers or work to Jesus by offering them to His Mother, more people in the world are truly coming back to God and at the same time, Jesus’ and Mary’s Sacred Hearts are being healed with balm.

Shouldn’t we desire to suffer for Jesus and Mary, knowing now that they both are suffering horribly at this very moment due to the abortions, satanic masses, sins of the flesh, violence and killings that occur everyday? If we truly love God we should be more than happy to suffer with Him and His Mother Mary. As stated in the gospel by Saint John (15:13), Jesus said, “Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (footnote 6)

Our Lady promises a period of peace if everyone were to consecrate their lives to her Immaculate Heart. A foreshadowing of the era of peace, which is yet to come, occurred in 1942 when Pope Pius XII consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, ending World War II. Pope Pius XII along with some Bishops, gathered at the Cathedral of Lisbon and consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary using these words:

Give peace to the peoples separated from us by error or by schism and especially to the one who professes such singular devotion to thee and in whose homes an honored place was ever accorded thy venerable icon; bring them back to the one fold of Christ under the one true Shepherd…(footnote 7)

The Following spring, Our Blessed Lord appeared to Sister Lucia to express His joy over the consecration. Unfortunately the consecration was incomplete, as the following quote by Sister Lucia to the Bishop of Gurza, her spiritual director states:

Your Excellency, The good Lord has already shown me His pleasure in the act of the Holy Father and the various Bishops, although incomplete according to His desire. In exchange, He promises to bring the war soon to an end, but the conversion of Russia will not take place yet: if the Bishops of Spain heed the desires of Our Lord and engage in a true reform of the people… good; if not, she (Russia) will again be the enemy with which God shall punish them once more. (footnote 8)

The following year, in 1943 on August 15, the feast day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven, World War II came to an end.

So let everyone consecrate themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Those who consecrate themselves shall be ready to face the grave tribulations of the future.

In the end there will be peace as the following quote from Our Lady to Sister Lucia promises,

If they heed my request, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace. If not, she shall spread her errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecutions of the Church; the good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated; in the end, my Immaculate Heart shall triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, which will be converted, and some time of peace will be given to the world. (footnote 9)
